Joshua 10:13

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

By causing the sun and moon to pause, God gave Israel additional time to secure victory over their enemies. It reflects His sovereignty, His ability to intervene in human history, and His care for those who faithfully follow His commands.

Spiritually, Joshua 10:13 reminds believers that God’s power transcends natural laws and human limitations. When His people act in obedience and faith, He can provide unexpected solutions, extend opportunities, and ensure the fulfillment of His promises. It underscores the partnership between divine providence and human action.
