Matthew

The book of Matthew is the first Gospel in the New Testament, presenting the life, ministry, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Written primarily for a Jewish audience, Matthew emphasizes that Jesus is the promised Messiah, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies and establishing God’s kingdom on earth. The book highlights His authority, miracles, parables, and the call to discipleship, offering guidance for living a life aligned with God’s will.

Matthew emphasizes both the teaching and example of Christ. Through the Sermon on the Mount, parables, and miracles, readers learn about righteousness, mercy, forgiveness, and the nature of God’s kingdom. It also highlights the importance of faith, obedience, and the transformative power of following Jesus.

This Gospel encourages believers to grow in faith, understand God’s plan for salvation, and live as committed disciples of Christ. Matthew shows how God’s promises are fulfilled in Jesus and how His teachings remain relevant for guiding daily life.

Explore the book of Matthew to encounter the Messiah, learn from His teachings, and be inspired to live a life of faith, obedience, and devotion to God.
